Job Description:
The Engineer will be responsible for designing press tools & flat patterns for sheet metal components, flat patterns for composite parts, jigs & fixtures, digitizing existing tools and flat patterns for aerospace components, and developing NC programs for 3 & 5 axis components and tools. The engineer in this position will interact closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling, and Inspection to create required tool designs and NC tapes in CATIA.
Desired Profile:
- Bachelors in Production or Mechanical Engineering (B.E.) or a Masters Degree in Tool or Production Engineering (M.E. or equivalent) is required. Knowledge of CAD/CAM, 3D Solid Modeling, Surfacing and NC programming experience using Catia V5 or similar CAD software is a must.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques for the Aerospace Industry, Jig & Die design and knowledge of Vericut is desirable.
- Good written and verbal communication skills are a must.
- Ability and willingness to travel as business needs arise is a must. Candidates with 0-2 yrs of experience are welcome to apply.
