RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  To work collaboratively with DBAs, data scientists, and analysts to insure that the data needs of EA are being met.
•  Help script, maintain, and create automated processes for pulling and reporting data
•  Drive improvement in our methodologies, systems and processes
•  Be actively engaged in assigned products and develop a deep understanding of game mechanics including gameplay and economy
•  Have a deep understanding of large data, our data structures, and how to manipulate our data in an efficient manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Graduating students encouraged to apply
•  Large data sets should excite this person
•  Strong analytical skills and facility with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, formatting)
•  SQL knowledge a must
•  Experience with BI and statistical software (Microstrategy, Tableau, R, etc.) and Hadoop a plus
•  C++, Java, HTML 5, HiveQL knowledge a plus
•  Passion for gaming, understanding of free-to-play game mechanics in social and mobile games
•  A desire to learn new methods in data mining/manipulation
•  Background in statistics, software engineering, data mining, database administration, or other quantitative disciplines is highly valued
