Job Description :

Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems/projects of diverse complexity and scope. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision-making process. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.
Roles and Responsibility :

The OCMP software engineer is responsible for developments, maintenance and unit tests development on the platform. In relation with the engineering team and cross functional team members, he will investigate and deliver any new feature specified by product marketing. The delivery of these new features requires wide knowledge of the OCMP internals and tight interaction with the other engineers in the team, so that implementation of several fixes in parallel will not affect the overall product development.

• Investigation of new features for OCMP: technical proposals after requests from program management, estimation of workload and dependencies.
• Development of new features: code generation or port of existing code, unit tests, debug, interaction with the test engineering team.
• Develop unit tests for new features, executable within existing regression test suites.
• Maintenance of the existing code (CPE), in order to propose satisfying solutions to customers.
• Writing design and implementation documentation.
• Integration and maintenance of external modules in OCMP, from external vendors or opensource.
• In case of problems in the field or during validation campaigns, analyze and solve them in a timely manner.

Candidate Profile :

• Broad experience of software development and knowledge of C/C++ & Java a must
• Should have hands on knowledge on Linux OS internals & general concepts.
• Good hands on experience in writing and debugging applications using all kinds of ipc (sockets, shared memory, pipes) and threads.
• Good theoretical and hands on experience on various data structures
• Familiarity with media server technologies and protocols.
• Hands on experience with SIP..
• Experience in Telecom domain.
• Desirable
• Knowledge on Java socket communication, JSP, servlets etc.
• Knowledge on rpm tools
