You may have heard about On Page SEO and Off Page SEO but you never know what the differences between both of them are. On Page SEO is to optimize your web pages so that a search engine can find you and rank you well.

Meaning to say that On Page SEO is a method of optimizing a website so that the website can be easily indexed by a search engine, SEO friendly & increase rank, some of On Page SEO examples are:

-          Using of keyword in domain name

-          Using of keyword in page title

-          Using of meta keyword, description and tag

-          Using of H1 & H2

-          Etc

Off Page SEO is actually building backlinks to a website and to rank well in any search engines. Here are some methods that most internet marketers usually do to build backlinks:

 1.       Forum Posting

-          Participating in forums that are related to your niche and have a signature that links to your site.  This is important because you are not just building backlinks but you are also learning something.

 2.       Blog Commenting

-          Comment on other people’s blog related with your niche. Try to find a blog with high page rank and from there, you can get traffic your backlinks. Using blog commenting software is not really recommended because it can be easily deleted by the blog owners.

 3.       Article Submission

-          Submit your articles to article directories. If your article is good, you can the chances of getting a lot of traffic from there.

 4.       Social Network Marketing

-          Connect with other marketers and potential customers through social networking sites such as Facebook or Twitter; from there you can promote your product or website.

 5.       Link Exchange

-          Exchange link with other bloggers.

Note: Make sure the sites you are backlinking are do-follow and not no-follow because if it is no follow, it won’t do anything for search result ranking in search engines.

So which one is important, On Page SEO or Off Page SEO?
