Applications are invited from MALE Indian citizens for the post of Constable (Tradesmen) in Border Security Force in the pay band –I Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade pay Rs.2000/- plus usual and admissible allowances to Central Govt. employees from time to time. In addition, Ration allowance, Medical Assistance, free uniform, free accommodation, free leave pass, etc. are admissible to BSF. 2. Application in the prescribed format given at Annexure-I either may be downloaded and printed out from BSF website or type written one side only of foolscap plain paper with passport size photographs affixed on application form and admit card be sent to the concerned Recruiting Agencies as mentioned against each State :-

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
Age : Between 18 to 23 years as on 1st Aug’2013. Relaxable in respect of the candidates for SC/ ST/OBC and other special categories of personnel in accordance with the instructions issued by Central Govt from time to time.
Note: -
Five years of age relaxation may be granted to the children and dependent family members of those killed in the communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat and of the year 1984. The children and dependent family members of those killed in these riots should produce a certificate to that effect from the concerned District Collectors.
Upper age upto 05 years is also relaxable for those persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of J&K during the period from 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec 1989. The person claiming relaxation under this category should produce a certificate to the effect that they had been domiciled in the State of J&K during the period from 1st Jan 1980 to 31 Dec 1989 from the district Magistrate within whos jurisdiction they had ordinarily resided or from any other authority designated in the behalf by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir SC/ST/OBC relaxation as per government instructions will be in addition.
Education qualification :
Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized University/Board with.
Two years work experience in respective trades;OR
One year certificate course from Industrial Training Institute/Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade; OR
Two years Diploma from Industrial Training Institute in the trade or similar trade.
ELIGIBILITY FOR RE-EMPLOYMENT OF EX-SERVICEMEN – Ex-servicemen being trained soldiers only written test, trade test and medical fitness test to ascertain Medical category will be conducted. As per Govt’s order total relaxation in prescribed physical standard and education is admissible. Relaxation of upper age limit to the extent of military service plus 3 years is applicable. However, break in Army service and re-employment should not exceed 2 years. No physical efficiency test will be held for Ex-servicemen.
HOW TO APPLY AND BY WHICH DATE
Application in the prescribed format at Annexure-I either downloaded from BSF website or type written on one side only in foolscap plain paper with passport size photographs affixing on application duly attested by a Gazette officer with seal be sent to concerned Headquarter, under which their state falls, on or before 30 days after publication of this advertisement in Employment News through post alongwith following documents.
Postal order or Demand Draft for Rs. 50/- in favour of Concerned IG/DIG/Commandant payable at bank of concerned Headquarter, under which their state falls, as mentioned against each with Code No. However, no postal order or Demand Draft is required to be sent by SC/ST candidates and Ex- servicemen.
Candidates are requested to fill up application form in Hindi or English language.
Attested copies of certificate/testimonial as proof of Educational qualification and age/date of birth and a trade proficiency certificate.
Attested copy of caste/category certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates given by an officer not below Tehsildar or SDO/SDM etc.
Attested copy of Domicile certificate issued by an officer not below Tehsildar or SDO/SDM etc.
One self addressed envelope of size 23×10 Cms affixed with postage for Rs.5/- bearing name and full postal address of the candidate with PIN Code.
A form for issue of Admit card will also be filled in and forwarded alongwith Passport size photographs duly attested by a Gazetted Officer with seal as per Annexure-II alongwith the application form.
Envelope containing Applications must be subscribed in bold letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE(TRADESMAN) IN BSF”
SELECTION PROCESS FOR CONSTABLE (TRADESMAN) Admit card with roll number and general instructions for appearing for the test/interview will be issued 15 days prior to the date of test to the eligible candidates. They will be called to appear for the same at a place preferably within their Home State for which no TA/DA is admissible. Incomplete application will be summarily rejected and no correspondence on this will be entertained.
