eBay Inc is hiring FRESHERS for Database Engineer profile
- Responsible for creating and maintaining the physical data model across all Teradata platforms in PayPal.
- Collaborating extensively with the Data Architects, Teradata DBAs, ETL developers and Business System Analysts to understand the requirements.
- Responsible for the performance turning/optimization of queries, ensure the Teradata system resources are used effectively and data is loaded/transformed/extracted with minimum latency.
- Forecast capacity requirements based on current usage and upcoming projects/demand.
- Be proactive in identifying risks and implement mitigations before it becomes problems/issues.
- Educate the developers, BSAs, analysts and data scientist on Teradata best practices and standards and enable them to deliver the best code possible.
- Be a team player and grow/succeed as a team.
- Able to influence others and get work done in a matrixed organization.
- Work in a fast-paced, iterative, agile development environment.
QUALIFICATION CRITERIA
