The Software Engineer has responsibilities extending to the development of systems software within the P&L. As part of Bangalore based XRAY team, the Software Engineer will design and develop applications to support new products for global markets along with supporting Install Base.
The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate key technical skills by working closely with the hardware, software and systems engineering teams to deliver high quality solutions on time.
Duties include (but are not limited to): • Working on next generation technology, prototyping new concepts along with supporting Install Base. • Derive subsystem level Technical Requirements from the high level System requirements, by working closely with the hardware and systems engineering teams. • Implement new features and application for Image Processing and Platform for XRAY systems • Develop innovative solutions that improve the efficiency and reliability of the system. • Verify and Validate designs and ensure reliability and performance goals • Support and work on Install Base for XRAY software whenever required.
Quality Specific Goals: • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required • Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables • Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or MCA having 1-4 years' experience developing C++ application. • Software for complex systems or computerized products • Ability to understand Design, Implement and verify user interface applications in C++. • Ability to conduct systematic analysis and develop solutions to complex engineering problems • Ability to use independent judgment to adapt and modify concepts and approaches to specific projects • Working knowledge in configuration management tools like ClearCase • Analytical and curious mind, able to investigate issues with limited data, formulate and communicate solutions. • Good knowledge to various systems tools such as static analyzers, debuggers, profilers and strong understanding of software systems. • Working experience in Linux and multi-threaded environment.
