Your Role

We are looking for a dynamic and talented ASP.NET (C#) Developer to join our dynamic and talented team! We need your skills to deliver a wide range of high profile, accessible and standards compliant web projects.

This role will involve taking an active and leading role in the development of web projects using the ASP.NET (C#) – SQL Server.

The ideal candidate should have experience in building web projects, as well as a good understanding of configuration management, testing and bug tracking.
Knowledge of RESTful webservices using WCF and Testing using Visual Studio 2010 is preferable

Part of the job will involve maintaining and improving our current existing customer's projects, and ability to understand, improve and debug legacy code is important.

Essential Skills

• IT graduate
• 2 to 3 years experience in ASP.NET server side web application development using C# .NET.
• Expertise in Object Oriented Programming techniques, JavaScript, ASP.NET, AJAX, XML, XSLT, Web Services, Design Patterns and any unit testing framework(N-UNit)
• Strong troubleshooting ability and Demonstrated mastery in developing the web pages
• Ability to Manage IIS
• Strong Visual Studio 2008 onwards.
• Understanding of MVC design patterns and frameworks
• Database experience (SQL 2008 )
• Hands on Experience of RESTful web services using WCF
• Basic testing knowledge using Visual Studio 2010
• General IT and networking experience
• Good communication skills
• Team-oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks at once, and meet deadlines
• Adaptable and flexible

Desirable skills

• Experience in JavaScript client side scripting methodologies (jQuery, jQuery UI, Ext JS) highly desired.
• Knowledge and Hands on Experience of Telerik – rad ASP .NET AJAX Controls.
• Understanding of Ajax
• Understanding and knowledge of Authetication, e.g. oAuth, Basic Authentication etc.
• Experience of the full software development lifecycle: from requirements gathering and functional specificationauthoring, to development, testing and delivery
• Some knowledge of the Linux command line
• Good levels of communication. Both written and verbal
• Testing and bug tracking experience
• Working with version controlling system
• Basic server handling
• An understanding of W3C web standards and accessibility guidelines
• Enthusiasm and an interest in all things technology
•Experience in Healthcare or Health Insurance industry helpful.
