RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a System Validation Design Engineer in System Validation group, you will join a team of professionals in validating state-of-art System-on-Chip (SoC) devices.
Reporting to the Manager, System Validation, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
You will work as part of a team to develop, execute and document a series of Feature Tests that will fully validate the operation of the prototype IC and associated FW as part of the overall product. These feature tests will exercise the various functional blocks of a prototype IC, associated FW and tests the system level circuitry to performance criteria and to industry standards.
Participate in detailed test results and code reviews
Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems in embedded real-time systems.
Effectively present technical information to small teams of engineers.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
1 to 4 years relevant work experience
Thorough knowledge of embedded system, SOC, and computer architecture
C and assembly language programming experiences
Knowledge of Tcl/Tk scripting language
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision under tight schedule
Excellent teamwork skills
Effective communicator of technical ideas. including verbal, presentation, and documentation
Excellent problem solving skills
Highly motivated, sets personal goals, and achieves goals without supervision.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Detailed working knowledge of PCIe specification.
Detailed working knowledge of SAS specification.
Experience in storage protocol development such as SAS/SATA, RAID and/or enclosure management.
Experience with RAID/HBA and SAS/SATA/SCSI architectures
Knowledge of MIPS architecture and firmware programming.
